Our mission is to provide young Ethiopian athletes a chance to compete at the highest professional level both nationally and internationally.

Winners of the 2024 YBBS will be crowned Mr./Ms. Ethiopia and have a chance to compete at the international level.

The Yonas Bodybuilding & Bikini Show is the official bodybuilding competition of Ethiopia and is now in collaboration with the International Federation of Bodybuilding (IFBB).

Yonas Mekonen, Ethiopia’s first bodybuilder, made it his mission introduce and grow the sport of bodybuilding in his home country of Ethiopia.

After over fifteen years of trying to get the show established, the inaugural show was held in August of 2019 at the Hilton Hotel, Addis Ababa.

Since then, the bodybuilding and fitness movement in Ethiopia has boomed.
